It’s the Jurassic World Cup qualifiers or just another movie about killer giant lizards. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return to the island, this time to rescue the dinosaurs from an erupting volcano. But before we go prehistoric, we give our thoughts about the ongoing spectacle that is E3. Basically all our thoughts on all the coming video game announcements. Listen in now!
E3 for everybody
Remember when we were a videogames podcast, neither do we. But every once in a while something comes over the horizon to redirect our attention back to our favourite electronics past-time. And with E3 looming over us again, we perk our ears up for all the upcoming announcements and reveals. We speculate where the industry is headed, as well as geek out proper over all the new trailers for upcoming titles.
We cross our fingers as the usual suspects trudge out prerendered cut-scenes disguised as gameplay. And hope beneath all the marketing and obvious shilling, there might be something worth getting excited about. Hopefully, we have news on a new Elder Scrolls or any updates about Cyberpunk 2077 from the creators of the Witcher series.
Jurassic World finds a way
And in our feature segment, we talk about the latest entry in the Jurassic Park franchise. “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” brings back Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, reprising their roles from the last movie. This time they return to the island to rescue the dinosaurs from a volcanic explosion that threatens to wipe them out.
But they’re met with new breeds of killer dinosaurs and uncover a conspiracy to steal the dinosaurs for nefarious military purposes. Sounds familiar? The film makes no qualms about rehashing the past, but will it be enough to keep the franchise from going extinct?
